Notable Happenings • A working fire occurred in our first-due area. Chief and Engine 1 were on scene within 5 minutes of dispatch for a working fire in the Adams Township area of our district. Crews worked extremely hard for 3.5 hours in sub-zero temperatures. • 1/24: Callery VFC provided in-station coverage for Station 22 while their members enjoyed a well-deserved night off at their dinner. The crew staffed Engine 19-2 until a driver returned after the dinner, and members also staffed Station 22’s apparatus overnight. • 1/24: Callery VFC also provided coverage for Station 20. Crews staffed Engine 1, the Squad, and the Tanker at our station. • 1/23–1/26: Members spent many hours staffing the station during the snowstorm from Friday through Monday. • Crews responded with UTV 19 on multiple EMS runs to assist with patient extraction and access. • 1/31: Engine 19 and UTV crews traveled throughout our first-due area clearing fire hydrants to ensure they were ready for use, which proved helpful on 2/1 during a first-due structure response.
